Not that we are condoning inflicting wanton damage upon this wonderful tool, especially since it takes readings between 2 inches and up to 800 feet away with an astounding +/- 1mm accuracy. If you aren't spectacular at math, the GLR825 can calculate the total area of multiple surfaces with a common length or height, so leave your graphing calculator in your son's backpack. The readings show up on the screen in large text with illumination, so you don't misread the information presented before you.
