Found these when looking for replacement head for a friend's Porter Cable floor nailer mallet. A new mallet was near 100 bucks, and this fit perfectly on the mallet forging, for 20 bucks. The original head was a harder material that cracked and fell off. These are a more pliable material, and the metal collar I think is a good thing to bind the edge where the cracking begins. It's a good tight fit that can be installed with a little lubricant and a large clamp. Pros:
The material seems more appropriate and the metal collar is an improvement by binding the edge where tears would start. This is a good product that fits on at least one other brand of mallet.Cons:
