After receiving the dust chute I removed the old one. Very easy, just remove 2 wing nuts. The new cover with the 4" connector went on easily as the old came off. The top fastens down with the wing nuts but when you do, it causes the front to pull away from the planner. I will put a spot of Velcro on it or double sided tape and this should solve this problem. Would be nice if it had either a 2-1/2" or 4" place to connect with as I use a Shop Vac that is 2-1/2". The performance of the chute is excellent. I am very pleased with it and still highly recommend it to help control mess in your shopPros:

Both are an annoyance but don't take away from performance.

fantstic item, made of plastic but for its job works well. fits fairly well but doesnt attach completely tight, so I added some double sided tape and all is well. over all item solved all my wood chip mess so very happy with it. Pros:
does its job of collection of wood chips wellCons:
needed to added double sided tape to product to seal it up to planerI would recommend this item to a friend.

I bought this for a Delta TP-305 planer I bought several years ago. Prior to this I only ran the planer outside due to the massive amount of chips and I had tried rigging duct collection chutes that were mounted near the planer which never worked. With this, I can easily plane boards in my basement with no later clean up, with the only limitation being when the dust collection bags fill up. Great product.Pros:

I found a tool that I didn't think existed any more. A dust attachment that would allow me to use my old planer in my new wood shop. I used to have to take the wood and planer outside to get my boards planed. This machine was so messy (it's a hand-me-down from my father in law). When I decided to try and find a Delta 50-359 dust collector attachment for this old Delta 12.5 inch planer I thought I was just gonna draw a blank. However, I found about half a dozen places on the net that carried this attachment. Tools-Plus had one and for almost half the price of most of the others and shipping rates were great. It got here in brand new shape and was a perfect fit. This was my first dealing with Tools-Plus but it wont be my last by any means.I would recommend this item to a friend.
