Currently DeWalt has no more actual DW735X's in stock, so we purchased all the individual pieces to make the X model in-house. DeWalt has agreed to this solution.
Please allow an extra few days for your DW735X to arrive. All components are here at our 60 Scott Rd Distribution Center, its just going to take a little longer because of the labor to pack the components together. As always, we guarantee a safe and damage-free shipment.

Have already had experience with a 735. Ordered a new one while rebate available. Great planer, and the X additions are a a great bargain since they are basically free.Pros:
ReliableEasy to use
Very accurate cuts
Great dust evacuation
Cons:
A little heavy to be called portable (workable)I would recommend this item to a friend.

Just a small amount of assembly required and what needed to be done was simple. Operation is straight forward and by all indications a very nice machine for the average home shop and at a good price. The only reason I didn't give it that fifth star is because I haven't run it enough to see if there are any issues with quality that haven't come up yet.Pros:
Simple operation, good value.Cons:
Although I'm not taking any points off for its weight, it is very heavy for one person to move around if you decide not to mount it to a table. It does have carrying handles however.I would recommend this item to a friend.

I am very pleased with the performance of this planer. It works as advertised which in this day and age is rather surprising. The instructions leave a bit to be desired but I didn't have any initial problems in obtaining excellent results.Cons:
Instructions and examples of setting the depth stops.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Board Stiff

I had been buying rough cut boards to save a little money and sanding them with a belt sander. I spoke to a frend about a better way he recommended the Dewalt. He did say the DW735 was his choice. The price was on the upper end of my budget but I planned to get some volume out of the planner. I received the planner read the manual powered the planner up and planned 20 boards in the same time it would have taken me to sand 5 boards. My hopes are that I will recover the cost of the planner on board foot of lumber on future projects. Pros:

Great Planer - DeWalt 735X

This planer worked well for me. I'm a part time woodworker and the DW735 flattened some old 2" x 12" with out any problems. The blades dulled rather fast, as I noticed other woodworkers had mentioned, but the wood I planed wasn't the cleanest. But it was worth it. I have never had a planer before. I would recommend this item to a friend.
