section within our DeWalt Tools departmentWhen designing their angle grinders DeWalt had four main user needs that they focused on, first increased durability, second more power, third smaller size and lastly improved ease of use. To address the need for increased durability DeWalt implemented such innovative measures as their patented Dust Ejection System and One Piece Brush Arm. To increase power, DeWalt increased the diameter of the copper wire in the motors which also creates better load protection. DeWalt also decreased the size of the gear case and reduced the tool girth. Lastly, DeWalt added a two position handle and wrench-less wheel removal (on some models) to make the tool easier to use.
