DeWalt Tool Company began its legacy in the 1920s with the introduction of the heavy duty radial arm saw by the company's founder, Raymond E DeWalt. In 1923, the company began selling their innovative radial arm DeWalt saw with much popularity. In the 40s DeWalt Tool sold their saws in conjunction with American Machine Foundry, or AMF. The company has hundreds of trained experts to demonstrate and train people in the usage of their radial arm saws. Over the years, DeWalt Power Tools moved out of the radial arm saw market in the U.S. and focused its attention on the newly emerging DeWalt Drill Line, DeWalt power tools and DeWalt cordless power tools segment. Over the past decade, DeWalt cordless tools has established itself as one of the leading cordless power tool manufacturer with over 30 choices of 18 volt tools alone. DeWalt also manufactures corded tools (such as a DeWalt Saw & DeWalt Drill line) and an extensive line of miter saws to suit any need.
