I apologize for the delayed response. It is possible to put a foot switch on the drill press, but due to product liability, we nor Ellis can give you any recommendations as to how to do it.Ellis doesn't make guards unfortunately, but a company called Rockford Systems does. http://www.rockfordsystems.com/
