I actually enjoy spliting wood now.. Is perfect for starting wedges and is perfect for clean wood, with no limbs. I never have replace a handle again. I would recommend this item to a friend.
Handy small spltter

This is a great tool to make kindling either in the house, if the wife lets ya, or out by the firewood pile. Well balanced and can give you that beefy forearm look in your favored arm. The blue color can be sometimes difficult to see in dusky or early dawn hours so I wrapped some hi vis colored tape around the handle. This is a great tool.Pros:
Balance, weight to carry thru the splitting, cost.Cons:
Dark blue color is better than black. Maybe make it yellow?I would recommend this item to a friend.
