Estwing Masons Hammers
section within our Estwing Hammers departmentThe Estwing Mason's Hammer couples a chisellike curved pick with a smallish, square striking face. The chisel end of a bricklayers/mason's hammer is primarily used for trimming bricks to size. Pretty simple...you just tap the brick on all four sides with the chisel, splitting it apart at that point. The striking end of a masons hammer is used for taping bricks into place when setting them into fresh mortar and for tweaking their alignment. Never use the striking face for hitting a brick....just tap please. Estwing Masons Hammers are both a quality tool and fairly inexpensive, which makes it a great combination.
