Getting your home or business ready for volatile weather conditions can be complicated. Not only do you need a generator, but you need a transfer switch, and you also need a concrete base, right? Not so when you purchase the 5871 Air Cooled Standby Generator. This excellent generator is part of Generac's stellar Guardian series, which also includes a 100 amp pre-wired EZ switch as well as a composite mounting pad, so you can get everything you need in one place. The steel enclosure with RhinoCoat finish laughs at rain, snow and wind, keeping the engine and other inner workings high and dry. Your ears won't deceive you when you turn the generator on; it operates at a hushed 62 dB. Choose between either liquid propane or natural gas to power the generator, the former will provide 10,000 watts, the latter, 9,000. The OHVI engine is designed specifically for generators, which provides 3-4 times longer life than competitive ones. Unlike many generators, the power that the 5871 provides is compatible with your sensitive electronics and appliances, thanks to TruePower technology.

Covered by Generac's 3 Year Limited Warranty. Click Here for Generac Warranty Documentation.
