Rock Pick / Chipping Hammers

The Rock Pick, also known as a chipping hammer or Geologist's hammer, is used for geological purposes, including collecting rock samples and finding fossils. The main components of a rock pick is the flat head and either a pick or chisel at the other end. The flat head is primarily used to split rock with one accurate blow. The pick head comes to a sharp point, which focuses the pressure of a hammer strike making it ideal for harder rock and exposing minerals.
