JET^® L-100 Series hand chain hoist integrates safety, durability and innovation enabling it to operate in the most demanding industrial environments. The patented fused brake system reduces maintenance costs and limits downtime. The JET^® L-100 is available in ¹/₄ ton to 20 ton capacities and standard lifts of 10, 15, 20, and 30 feet. Regardless of how harsh the environment, the JET^® L-100 Series hand chain hoist is engineered to perform.

What is the Overload Protection feature:There's not a physical "indicator" like a button or something pops out or anything like that on the hoist. The overload protection is actually an internal component/assembly attached to the chain wheel. The actual "overload limiter" assembly is a slip clutch design. If the user tries to lift a load greater than the rated capacity of the hoist, the hoist will "lock up" or refuse to raise the load at all. So there is no way they can raise up a load that's too heavy, thereby, protecting both the hoist and the user. So the hoist will seem like it's quit working if overloaded. However, the hoist isn't broken and can still be used to lift properly sized loads. The user would need to remove the load and they have to "snap" the load chain which breaks/releases the slip clutch and lets the chain spin freely again. Then the user can continue using the hoist as normal. Of course, if they try to overload it again, then the slip clutch will "lock" the hoist and prevent the user from being able to raise the load again.
