Porter-Cable 42690 Precision Edge Guide

The Porter-Cable 42690 Precision Edge Guide works great. But I had to do a small modification to the mounting bar. I had read somewhere that the 42690 replaced the 42700 model and would work on a Porter-Cable model 8529 router. Well it doesn’t unless you drill and tap two additional holes 4 ½ inches apart. This will allow the two connecting rods to align with the router base holes. This is a great edge guide and comes on very handy.Pros:
The micro adjustment.Cons:
Did not fit the Porter-Cable model 8529 router without a mod.I would recommend this item to a friend.
