Sub-bases are a great way to extend the versatility of your compact router, but if they're not installed correctly and centered perfectly, they won't work as accurately as they were designed to. The Porter-Cable 45005 Sub Base Centering Cone takes the guess work out of installing a sub-base on your router, and will assure that your router and base work together to produce quality cuts the first time, every time. Simply slide the steel centering rod into your router's collet, slide the cone down on to the pin and into the hole of the base, then tighten the sub base down. In a matter of seconds, you can be up and cutting confidently.
