The Porter-Cable 691 D-Handle Router offers superior control of the router and allows experienced users to run the router single handed. This router is a variation on the standard fixed-base model. A D-handled router replaced one of its knobs with a loop handle that contains the tool's on/off trigger, just like on a portable circular saw. The main reason that routers are capable of cutting so many different shapes is the incredible choices of bits made for them. Excellent router for dovetail work as it has plenty of power and you have trigger finger control of the on/off without having to move your hands.I would recommend this item to a friend.

Even after many years no company has produced a grip that matches this tool. The D-handle version of this Porter-Cable router gives excellent control of the tool. The router itself is ideal for all handheld routing. I have 7 routers and this is my "go to" router for almost all tasks. Pros:
comfortable to holdexcellent trigger switch
good power
Cons:
no dust extractionno micro-adjust feature
I would recommend this item to a friend.
