Throughout the 80's the popularity of pneumatic air nailers swept the nation. The arrival of pneumatic nail guns solved a troublesome problem that had been bothering workers for centuries: the "tennis elbow". Now, these tools account for more sales than hammers. Whether they are used for framing, roofing, siding, sheathing, trim work or pallet manufacture, pneumatic air nailers and staplers have become essential tools for a wide range of tasks.
Unlike some other Pneumatic Tools, nail guns don't require a large air compressor or high volume of air to operate properly. A 4-gallon compressor is generally adequate. Compressors are made in several styles, including single tank, twin-tank, and pancake variety. Some are equipped to power more than one nailer at a time.
