Powermatic band saws are designed to easily cut curved, circular and straight lines quickly and easily. They're ideal for creating crosscuts and curves for toys, furniture trim and any other application that requires free-form cutting. Powermatic's band saws have powerful motors but produce very little vibration, resulting in cleaner, more precise cuts and less re-cutting. A popular test among woodworkers is the "Nickel Test" where in you place a nickel on the edge of a flat surface of your machine then start it up. If the nickel stays, your machine is running smoothly with minimal vibration. Properly tuned Powermatic machines pass the nickel test with ease and they're legendary for industry leading performance and power.
