The heavy duty poly conveyor belt coupled with the two speed 1/4 hp feed motor makes for fast and efficient feed rates. Mainly used to make pieces of furniture or cabinetry, these machines can bring any piece of stock down to the thickness you want. Rather than using knives like a planer they use an abrasive belt to sand and smooth the stock as it passes through. Powermatic has implemented a digital read out system that tells you the exact thickness of stock when entering and exiting the machine. Their exclusive 3 motor system guarantees power to the drive drums, feed belt, and the feed table.
