Great outdoor saw!

These saws are great for doing outdoor cutting without power tools. At www.baldeagleboyscamp.org where I worked for 2 years, we used nothing but these saws and bucksaws for wood heat. I don't know of a better bow saw for cutting up to 6 or 8 inch logs or felling small trees. That said, I haven't used many other bowsaws. The main key is in cutting straight and not pushing down on the blade too hard. They are remarkably fast if kept sharp and do not get pinched because of operator error. Pros:
hand powersharp
fairly quick for small projects
great for trimming branches
Very nice blade guard!

Easy blade replacement
Cons:
All bowsaws:pinch easily if not used correctly.
eventually rust.
