Designed to give you the quick and accurate results you need when planing, the Stanley 12-508 Block Plane Iron Cutter is constructed from a high carbon chrome steel alloy for incredible strength and durability. The unique manufacturing process allows the blade to hold its edge longer and cut cleaner. When the edge does begin to dull, it's easily resharpened and restored to its original cutting performance. The 12-508 comes with a pre-honed edge at 25 degrees, re-honing to 30 degrees is recommended for best performance.
