With its large striking face and generously beveled head, the Stanley Fiberglass Drilling Hammers could be called a mini-dynamo. The drilling hammers feature a forged steel head and compact design. The strong fiberglass short handle is light and durable for increased visibility in hard-hitting and limited-swing areas and is wrapped in a yellow jacket for higher visiblity. These small Stanley sledgehammers are specially heat treated to minimize the chance of chipping or shattering when used to strike other hand tools. Of course, never use this drilling hammer to strike another hammer face or other hardened-steel tools, as it may shatter. These drilling hammers are only 2 or 3 pounds, which is the perfect size for cleaving thick metal with a big punch or cold chisel.
