  • Designed to fix a very common issue
  • The hole is too small and needs to be larger

  • Use by mounting a hole saw = in size to the small Oops hole as the pilot
  • Also mount the real size hole saw and together do it right.

"Oops" Arbor

The "Oops" Arbor, No. A19, is actually a pilot drilladapter/arbor that fits in place of the drill in regular hole saw arbors. It wascreated to correct a common mistake.

For instance, you drill a hole with a 1" saw when you intended to use a2" saw, the first thing you do is say "oops" to yourself.

The first thing you would do is to put a 2" saw on a regular hole sawarbor. Then take the pilot drill out of that arbor.

Next, take the "Oops" arbor and put the 1" saw on it and insertthe 1/4" shank of that arbor in the drill hole of the regular hole sawarbor. The 1" saw will now pilot everything while the 2" sawcuts the proper hole.

The "Oops" Arbor also comes in handy in an old house when you need toincrease pipe openings and door knob holes

The A19 includes:

Worked like a champ

I needed to remove a faulty speed transducer thruhull on my sailboat. The Starrett A19 Oops Pilot arbor with a 1 5/8" inner hole saw covered by a 2" hole saw did the trick. Worked perfectly! Made a tough job a lot easier. Service at Tools Plus was excellect. RCS

Drilling the wrong size hole happens to everyone. This tool allows you to go back and fix it without having to grind or file and end up with an off-center hole. I was surprised no one thought of it before, but I am glad it is out their now. Work as intended and cost much less than it is worth.

Worked fine for me.

I used this with both 1 7/8" and 2 1/8 inch hole saws in a Milwaukee Magnum corded drill.

Only one side is machined flat and the shaft is skinny but it worked fine for enlarging holes in a 3/16" thick truck frame.

It did the job fine.
Only one side is machined flat

Skinny shaft, hopefully it holds up.

I'm an Electrician and often get small wooden cable spools with holes that are to small to fit a standard jack stand arbor. I use to have to find a piece of scrap wood and use a hole saw to drill the correct size hole in it. Then I would screw the scrap piece to the spool with the hole in the scrap piece centered over the small hole in the spool and then use the same hole saw I used on the scrap piece to drill out the spool hole. Then unscrew the scrap piece and repeat on the other side. With this tool, I put the correct size hole saw on a standard hole saw arbor and put a hole saw on the oops arbor that matches the small hole in the spool. With this setup I can drill out the spool hole in a few seconds as opposed to several minutes with the scrap wood method.
The tool is well made and should last forever. A huge time saver when making a hole larger.

I would recommend this item to a friend.
