Coleman Cable, now a subsidiary of Southwire, has provided quality extension cords, wire drop lights, work lights and replacement power tool cords since the seventies. Having built a reputation for all things wire, Southwire recognized the quality of Coleman Cable products and added them to their product line. Southwire's origins began in 1950 after realizing a shortage of wireline existed. Despite humble beginnings of only 12 employees and second-hand machinery, it took only two years for Southwire to expand and ship out five million pounds of wire.
Today, Southwire is not only known for their power wires, but also Southwire extension cords, power cables and work lights, just to name a few. Southwire revolutionized the electrical industry with their SCR continuous casting process and the SIMpull reel, which allows anyone to move reels weighing up to 6000 lbs. After many years of innovating Southwire is now a leading global supplier of electrical wires and tools. Check out our Southwire tools below.
